Gamelan slendro, peut-être originaire de l'île de Madoura. Facteur inconnu. Métallophones (gender, slenthem) en bronze et gongs en fer. Acheté dans les années 1990 par un voyageur-antiquaire d'Evreux qui le vendit par fragments (bonang penerus, gongs, etc.) et acquis en 2000 pour les instruments restants par Gérard Grimal, percussioniste lotois, animateur d'une exposition ambulante d'instruments de percussion du monde entier, « Il était une fois la percussion ».

Slendro gamelan by an unknown maker, possibly from the island of Madura. Iron gongs and bronze metallophones (gender, slenthem). Bought in the 1990s by a traveller-antique dealer from Evreux (Normandy) who sold individual parts (bonang penerus, gongs, etc...). Instruments that remained were purchased in 2000 by Gérard Grimal, percussionist from the Lot (South-West France) and owner of a traveling exhibition of percussion instruments, « Il était une fois la percussion ».
